Can you help ensure robust manufacturing designs while being responsible for your own product portfolio? And are you passionate about development of new products and motivated by interdisciplinary work? Then you could be the Design Engineer we are looking for in Automatic Controls R&D and Engineering – one of the core businesses in Danfoss. You will play a key role in the development and modification of our products in close cooperation with dedicated and highly professional colleagues. The position requires some travel activity, however, not exceeding 10 days per year, mainly to suppliers, customers or our production companies in India and China. Design and optimisation of high-quality refrigeration valves You will be responsible for engineering different kinds of valves used in a broad variety of refrigeration applications. With focus on design, price and quality improvements your mission will be to develop robust product design. In addition, you coordinate interdisciplinary activities in connection with design changes, production coordination and similar. Other areas of responsibility are to: •Lead cross functional teams in design change activities •Approval and standards •Design and implement customer-specific adaptations •Drive engineering in quality issues affecting customers and/or manufacturing •Address issues arising from design or bill of materials mistakes •Participate actively in new product development projects and quality improvement activities You become part of a highly entrepreneurial and structured environment and are offered a unique opportunity to impact the future development of our valves. Engineer with teamwork and networking experience You have an educational background as a mechanical or mechatronics engineer or similar. You may have recently graduated or have a few years’ experience within mechanical product design. If you are experienced within 3D CAD, preferably Inventor 2012, it is an advantage. You are able to keep deadlines and maintain robust product design while continuously improving quality and reducing cost. As a vast majority of your job activities take place in cross-functional groups, it is also important that you are a skilled team player who thrives cooperating and networking.
