Would you like to take up the challenge of managing high-voltage cabling to ensure our grid connection? Join us and become Export Cable Engineer and Team Lead in our Export Cables department within HV Cables. In the Export Cables department, we are responsible for supply, termination, onshore installation and hand-over to Operations & Maintenance of all high-voltage cabling related to our offshore wind farms. This includes offshore and onshore cables at voltage levels of 132 – 400 kV. You will be part of the Export Cables department and will have a unique opportunity to learn directly from a team of very experienced export cable engineers. The department is part of Wind Power which has 1800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either in one of our Danish offices in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in Greater Copenhagen or in our UK office in London on local terms and conditions. You should, however, expect some travelling in Northern Europe in relation to your work. Your key duties will be to be responsible for the technical management of export cable engineers, who work with high-voltage and extra high-voltage cabling related to our offshore wind farms assist on various export cable projects and you will ensure standardisation in the export cable team. plan, execute and follow up on projects, including managing subcontractors and consultants cooperating closely with your colleagues based on different locations in Northern Europe be co-responsible for performing tasks related to the grid connection of our offshore wind farms be responsible for establishing common cable design guidelines and participate in knowledge sharing and technical reviews. In addition, you will participate in technical and commercial negotiations as well as internal and external clarifications and interfaces, and you will prepare functional requirements and tender documents. You will also prepare technical, supply and installation requirements for onshore and offshore export cables to be used in connection with grid connection to offshore wind turbines. Your qualifications and core competences include that you hold an engineering degree in electrical engineering, civil engineering or similar as well as have extensive experience within high-voltage cable engineering or infrastructure project engineering have some operational and maintenance experience combined with practical knowledge of cable design have relevant experience and knowledge of relevant legislative requirements, codes, standards and industry practice related to onshore and offshore high-voltage cable engineering speak and write English fluently are a good communicator with solid negotiation skills, who can handle both communication with many stakeholders and negotiate at many different levels. Furthermore, you are open-minded with a positive approach to your colleagues and external partners. It is also important that you are self-motivated, proactive and able to actively contribute to the team. You have a practical and commercial approach to your work and you possess the perseverance to execute on assignments.
