At FLSmidth Airtech we design and supply Air Pollution Control Equipment to the cement and minerals industries worldwide. You will join Site Services consisting of approx. 30 experienced Field Engineers working on sites around the world. Detailed Description On-site expert and supervisor As Field Engineer, it is your responsibility to ensure that our equipment is installed according to the provided documentation and instructions. You will supervise and lead the on-site installation and participate in various coordination and safety meetings. It is your job to: · Report directly to the responsible Project Manager · Act as our main contact to the Client and the appointed Contractor(s) · Report any deviations between the planned activities and actual conditions · Generate improvement suggestions and new ideas for our products Once you are properly introduced and trained, you will be our expert on-site, ensuring that the installation is handled as seamlessly as possible. To this end, we look to you to facilitate good cooperation between all parties involved, reporting to the rest of the organisation in a clear and concise manner. As nearly all your work is carried out on site, you must expect an excess of 300 travel days per year. Job Requirements Culturally aware, independent engineer You are a mechanical engineer, marine engineer or similar, preferably with a prior education as a skilled worker. You can present previous experience from site work, if you worked abroad before this is an advantage. You are fluent in English, both written and verbal, other languages are a plus. Your cultural awareness and inherent people skills are put to good use, when you work to facilitate cooperation and processes on site. Utilising your excellent communication skills, you are good at building relations that ensure that you deliver the required results and meet customer expectations. You thrive in position with a high level of independence, tight deadlines and pressure peaks wrapped in an ever-changing work environment.
