Application date Monday, April 13, 2015 - 23:59 Location Lyngby, Denmark Global Logistics is part of the Catalyst Production Supply Chain Management organization which has the operational responsibility for all steps related to our catalyst order to delivery process for Haldor Topsoe in Denmark and global responsibility for the core supply chain processes and standards. You will develop Global Logistics as a strategic competence and area of excellence in full alignment with the company's strategic growth plans and objectives. An important part of the position will be to choose, oversee, and coordinate logistics providers, brokers and 3PLs. In cooperation with local logistics functions and sales offices you will develop global processes and procedures as well as the company’s warehouse and transportation network to ensure optimal customer service and compliance at the lowest possible cost. The operational responsibility area covers a shipping department with 12 shipping coordinators and a finished goods warehouse with 9 employees. The job involves close collaboration with colleagues in other areas of the organization i.e. Sales, Compliance, Planning, Procurement, and Manufacturing sites in order to increase efficiency and reduce freight expenses. You become part of the Supply Chain Management team in Catalyst Production and you will report to the Senior General Manager Supply Chain Management Your responsibilities •Manage logistics reports, including daily activities associated with domestic and international transportation and logistics issue resolution, shipment tracking, freight audit, cost controls, related procedures, communication, and reporting •Develop and manage global transportation and logistics programs and strategies that support company growth and reduces freight spend •Develop and manage the global logistics network and continually strive to find efficiencies and create a competitive edge for the organization •Work hand-in-hand with compliance team to support global policies and meet trade and transportation regulatory requirements •Source global logistics providers, including qualifications, selection, and management of carriers and 3PLs •Negotiate rates and business terms with logistics providers. You •Are a balanced leader with excellent global leadership and management skills •Have the ability to work and navigate within a complex matrix organization •Manage your global stakeholders and conduct change management effectively •Have strong business acumen and excellent negotiating skills •Have strong people skills •Have the ability to develop and utilize qualifications of staff through change management. Qualifications As minimum you have a bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field. You have at least 10 years of experience in logistics/supply chain industry with hands-on experience in international freight management with demonstrated logistics contract negotiation skills. You have experience with designing and optimizing the effectiveness of a global logistics network for a company with multiple manufacturing sites. You have strong organizational, change management, team-building, and people skills.
