Group Leader for R&D test bakery, Baking Applications, Bagsvaerd Novozymes is searching for a Group leader of the R&D test bakery located at our headquarters in Bagsvaerd, Copenhagen. The R&D test bakery is part of the Baking Applications department currently consisting of scientists, research associates and test bakers. Baking Applications develop new enzyme based solutions improving the quality of industrially manufactured cereal food products and the test bakery conducts primary testing in particular bread, cakes and biscuits. As group leader you will be responsible for efficient delivery of high quality baking data from you and your team. You prioritize the assignments, maintain and update the ISO quality system in the test bakery, and ensure that the group of bakers has the right competences and technology. You follow baking trends and secure the technology development in the bakery. It is expected that you spend at least 50 % of your time on management tasks but you can also assist with practical baking related tasks when needed. You and your team will be working in close collaboration with R&D scientists and research associates, selected customers and industry partners, Global Marketing, and Global Technical Service. In this position you need to have: Several years of hands-on experience from an industrial bakery or a test baking unit A background as a baker, preferably coupled with a scientific education (e.g. BSc in relevant field) Experience in product development for bread, cake or biscuit production and can optimize recipes using emulsifiers, hydrocolloids, fibers, oxidants and enzymes Strong people management skills and power to influence A positive and engaging leadership style The ability to develop a good relationship to collaboration partners, based on openness and trustworthiness Are you the next Zymer in our team?
