We Offer The Copenhagen Finance Department has three main areas of responsibility: General Accounting, Accounts Payable and Corporate Cost Controlling. You will be part of the General Accounting team which is responsible for the general accounting for Maersk Oil and Gas (MOG) as well as setting up and maintaining efficient accounting procedures for Maersk Oil. In this respect, specific emphasis is put on intercompany and time-writing procedures. The Maersk Oil Group consists of Maersk Oil Parent as well as several foreign Business Units scattered around the world. Key Responsibilities The key objective of the position is for the candidate to take on the responsibility of ensuring an efficient intercompany process, both in terms of accuracy and timely reporting. You will be the focal point of Maersk Oil and Gas’ intercompany accounting. This entails the setting up and maintenance of efficient intercompany procedures both in terms of accounting for intercompany transactions as well as monthly reporting. As part of the General Accounting Team, you are also expected to assist in ensuring an efficient bookkeeping process with regards to payroll, insurance, bank transactions, FX deals and other ad hoc tasks. Some of the common tasks are set out below: • Ensuring high quality intercompany accounting and reporting in HFM • Preparation and issuing of monthly intercompany statements to all counterparties within the MOG - and APMM Group • Agreeing intercompany statements/balances with the counterparty • Assisting with everyday enquiries from subsidiaries with regards to intercompany transactions and procedures • Maintaining and improving existing procedures in respect of insurance charges and re-invoicing of these • Monthly Intercompany balance sheet analysis Who we are looking for You hold a master degree or graduate diploma (HD) in Finance or Accounting, or have a similar background. You have at least two to three years of experience with accounting or as an auditor. We are looking for an ambitious person, with a proven strong professional and educational background, who is willing to make a difference and who is not afraid of challenging existing processes and procedures. Personally, you are self-confident and disciplined, which enables you to work independently and focus on quality in a sometimes very hectic environment. Furthermore, you have a high sense of urgency, a good attention to detail and you know how to prioritise. Fluency in both written and spoken English is mandatory, as is a strong knowledge of MS Excel and SAP FI/CO. Knowledge of the SAP reporting tool is a great advantage.
