Material Management is an internal service provider responsible for all equipment required for transporting, installing and servicing the wind turbines all over the world. The Material Management department is based in Denmark and consists of the Order Management team based in Brande and two Equipment Centres based in Esbjerg and Tinglev respectively. In total, Material Management employs approximately 80 dedicated people striving towards delivering world class services ensuring that materials for the wind power projects are available when needed. Material Management is part of the global logistics organisation, and is involved through the full value chain, from designing over manufacturing to final installation and service of wind turbines all over the world. The department is now looking to expand the team with an Internal Project Manager who is expected to play an active and central role in optimizing and increasing the performance of the organization. In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Material Management and together with the management team, you will be a part of developing the strategy for Material Management and implementing the global footprint. We are looking for an experienced logistic project professional, who successfully has executed related complex projects in a global environment. It is important that you have a strong desire and ability to work in a fast paced, challenging, and technically demanding work environment. Furthermore, you should expect approximately 30% of travelling (Primarily but not limited to the UK, Germany, Morocco, China and the US) What are my responsibilities? • Identify initiatives to optimize and streamline internal processes through strong business cases • Manage projects related to the development and implementing the Material Management global footprint • Prepare forecast and control project budgets • Report to the Head of Material Management on progress and steering of the global strategy implementation • Provide market matching standards and benchmarking • Collaborate with key stakeholders globally to identify optimal solutions for Siemens Wind Power What do I need to qualify for this job? • We expect candidates to have minimum 5 years of Project Management experience driving international cross boarder logistic projects. • Competent in developing and maintaining project plans ensuring all resources are scheduled using the appropriate planning tools; coordinate and facilitate milestone/tollgate reviews. • Strong analytic skills and ability to prepare and present thorough business cases – potentially gained through an academic education. • LEAN certification and extensive change management experience are considered as strong advantages. • A team player by hart and influencing skills having the ability to proactively work with people outside your own organization • You thrive in a multicultural environment and possess excellent communication and English skills, both orally and in writing In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
