The Bachelor's Degree in Global Nutrition and Health at Metropolitan University College, Copenhagen, Denmark, invites applications for a temporary position as assistant/associate professor in Global Nutrition & Health (GNH) for the period 1st September 2016 – 30th June 2017. The position is a full time position; 37 hours per week.    Main teaching areas  The main teaching areas are within Basic Nutrition; Physiology related to Nutrition, Physical Activity and Metabolic Syndrome; Dietary Strategies and interventions; and Kitchen Exercises (Basic Cooking & Kitchen Skills).    Prerequisites for the positions: 

• An MSc or a PhD relevant to the position; Human or Clinical Nutrition  
• High interest in the interplay between theory and practice and ability to generate practical examples and exercises within your areas of teaching  
• Dedication to teaching and student-based learning  
• Interest and experience within digital teaching and use of social media  
• Documented teaching competencies, including experience of supervising and assignment grading e.g. bachelor thesis  
• Excellent written and oral English skills       

As an assistant / associate professor at GNH we expect you to be: 

• a team player who thrives in an interdisciplinary and international environment  
• a proactive, open-minded and flexible person who is able to facilitate students’ learning by upholding excellence in teaching, examining and advising students across a number of modules  
• able to generate practical examples and exercises within your areas of teaching  
• able to contribute to the implementation of the revised curriculum of 2016  
• able to contribute to further development of GNH’s plan for digital teaching   

About GNH  GNH is a 3½ year undergraduate education taught exclusively in English. Approximately 200 students from various countries and cultures are currently registered in the programme.
