Then here is an exciting opportunity for the ambitious engineer to join Maersk Oil’s Graduate Programme (MITAS: Maersk Oil's International Technology & Science Programme) in Esbjerg, Denmark. We Offer The MITAS programme combines on the job training with technical courses and general skills development within the framework. Together with newly graduated engineers from other Maersk business units, you will participate in different courses such as: • Presentation Technique • Project Management • Innovation and Change Management • Negotiation Technique • Financial and Commercial Understanding • Multicultural Understanding We will challenge you! Through a two-year intensive training and working period you will acquire hands-on experience in the oil and gas industry working with planning and executing operations. You will during two rotations to other departments or Business Units, work with state-of-the-art tools and equipment, and e.g. get the opportunity to spend a rotation offshore focusing on engineering and production. As part of the programme, you will be mentored and supervised by Senior Engineers and in-house experts. As such, each position will challenge you in different ways, and our many international activities will provide you with excellent opportunities for working with colleagues from all over the world. You will be working in a hectic – as well as personally and professionally challenging – environment where you will be exposed to a broad field of assignments and projects within the oil and gas industry. Key Responsibilities You will be part of the Process Engineering Department in Esbjerg and take part in the everyday engineering tasks in cooperation with your colleagues. As part of a team, you will be involved in activities either related to back-office engineering issues, handling incidents from operations or taking part in specific projects. As such, all the tasks you will be assigned are part of real projects. We design and handle specifications of new systems as well as modifications to existing in terms of process design and control. During the programme, you will be involved in concepts and front end engineering, design studies and advanced process modelling. Furthermore, you will work with production forecast and consequence modelling, energy efficiency management and review as well as environmental assessments. In addition, you will get familiarised with new technology screening and testing and participate in several major projects. At the same time, you will also get the opportunity to manage minor projects yourself as well as work with review and preparation of technical standards. More specifically, your responsibilities will include: Process optimisation and troubleshooting for production and maintenance Risk assessment and help reduce environmental emissions Contribute to definition of concepts, develop engineering designs, purchase equipment and assist in offshore commissioning for modifications to existing facilities Review external contractor/consultant process deliverables and develop and monitor interface design between new and old facilities Participate in the review and development of commissioning and operating procedures for the new facilities You will also need to: Comply with applicable safety instructions and other company procedures, both onshore and offshore Ensure that in all matters safety, economical and technical assessments are made, due diligence is observed and initiative taken to secure the best economic results Ensure that all information, both written and spoken, obtained in the course of the work is handled with confidentiality Ensure that the work is carried out in a professional manner and in compliance with applicable contracts, company policies, values and relevant la
