As Portfolio Management Director, you will lead, drive and evolve the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) for our Innovation and Development (I&D) function in order to support the fast and changing pace of our business and maximise value from project investments. You will align projects to our strategic objectives, monitor project execution and the realisation of project value. You will act as an enabler, trusted advisor and key collaborator to our varied I&D functions and regions. You will find yourself playing an integral leadership role in an-ever transforming, highly challenging and demanding environment. You will report directly into the Vice President, Group Innovation & Development. Your key accountabilities and responsibilities: Lead 3-years and annual I&D business planning process with regions •Align 3-years and annual net revenue, volume and EBIT gap that will have to be delivered through I&D solutions by region •Identify key innovation needs/opportunities by region to deliver 3-years/annual innovation topline/profit gap Create group-wide innovation portfolio transparency and drive prioritization process for group-supported acceleration projects •Work in partnership with Regions and Group I&D leaders to create transparency of innovation portfolio across group, markets and I&D functions. Collaborate with Insights team to filter against megatrends and consumer insights •Drive ROIC-based prioritization process to select group-supported acceleration projects Enable professional innovation portfolio review meetings with Innovation Leadership Team (ILT) •Drive bi-annual review of innovation portfolio against regional innovation priorities/targets •Consolidate and develop fact-based project portfolio overview to lead innovation portfolio prioritization discussions with ExCom members at ILT Continuously evolve innovation performance management system •Ensure the PMO function is able to gather, structure, analyse and reconcile information on projects to support the portfolio performance review and the dashboard •Standardize business case metrics and support project owners to develop business cases •Set-up and evolve innovation portfolio performance system to track NS, volume, profit, ROIC contribution of group and local innovation projects on a bi-annual basis Creating winning team •Provide strong leadership, coaching and guidance to two PMO Managers •Develop partnership with regions to drive I&D business planning process We are looking for a candidate who: •Is an experienced leader with 12+ years business experience ideally gained from a combination of top-tier consulting organization and FMCG business development/strategy function, where he/she acquired strong problem solving and business project portfolio management skills. Ideally this experience has been complemented with operational commercial roles. •Completely masters business planning processes, has extensive business portfolio management experience, investment prioritization and respective decision making process •Has excellent business, financial and commercial acumen to drive ROIC decision making •Is experienced driving change and leading transformational projects within a large, global organisation •Can translate insights into action, has deep analytical skills, effective "synthesis" strategic skills and strategy articulation/integration •Comfortably collaborates and communicates upwards, downwards and sideways.
