Post-Doctoral, Protein Engineering, Copenhagen/Bagsvaerd For Protein Engineering in Copenhagen/Bagsvaerd, Denmark, we are looking for a talented Research Scientist for 17 month to join our team of dedicated people. Joining the team you will develop and use new assays and technologies for directed evolution and screening of enzymes. Protein Engineering is responsible for developing improved enzymes for our customers in a wide range of industries. Through our projects we interact with a lot of different departments and people in our global R&D organization. You will participate in cross-functional projects where you will be responsible for new enzyme assays, developing and optimizing Droplet Microfluidics for screening enzymes. You will be responsible for chip design, on-chip directed evolution of enzymes. This will require hands on laboratory work and close supervision of and collaboration with lab technicians. Generally, you will participate in the department's patenting and publication of new technologies and lead product candidates. This position is funded by Marie Curie Actions - Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways (IAPP). Applicants need to have a residence permit (citizenship) of an EU or EU-associated country other than Denmark. Moreover, applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Denmark for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the date of selection. In this position you need to have: A PhD or equivalent experience from biochemistry, biotechnology or other related fields Expertise with droplet-based microfluidics, continuous phase microfluidics and/ or lab-on-a-chip technologies and enzyme assay development Experience with LabView, Matlab, Autocad and related softwares Some Molecular biology experience from working with E.coli, B.subtilis, Fungi, Yeast or similar A dedicated and result oriented approach besides taking pride in delivering results on time Are you the next Zymer in our team?
