Are you ready to drive products and technologies around grid integration of Vestas wind turbines? Do you have the experience and the interpersonal skills to act as technical lead in complex and cross functional projects? We are looking for a Senior Specialist who can manage a technical domain at a high level by coordinating highly specialized and dedicated engineering teams. Service & Plant Solutions / Plant Solutions / Plant Power Systems Plant Power Systems (PPS) is a part of Plant Solutions, which again belongs to the Technology organization. An increasing market segment is asking for total solutions as turnkey wind power plants as opposed to another segment just asking for a number of individual turbines. Plant Solutions is responsible for the products and services, which enable our regional sales organizations to sell, install and service total solutions. In other words: The products and services transforming a number of turbines into a Wind Power Plant on par with traditional power plants. This includes Electrical grid connection and compliance, SCADA systems, Data acquisitions, Data analysis and Siting. The PPS department consists of engineers only and is responsible for electrical grid integration of the Vestas turbine portfolio. We are sitting in Aarhus /DK and Singapore and work in the whole value chain from analyzing market requirements to development of solutions and technical training and support of our regional sales organizations. Everything with the main purpose to ensure easy grid connections to various Power Systems worldwide. PPS does on a high level consist of two different competence domains working smoothly together: Electrical Engineering and Controls Development. Electrical Engineering is responsible for collecting and influencing the electrical requirements from Transmission System Operators written in Grid Codes. They are also designing solutions and simulation models as well as conducting sales project specific grid connection studies. Controls development is responsible for our core product: the Power Plant Controller incl. embedded and real time SW development, release management and support. It also includes HW development of all SCADA system products. This position will be the technical head of the entire PPS domain. Responsibilities: You will be technical responsible for well-defined systems: Real time plant control systems, AC and HVDC main circuit systems. You will be working with these challenges: Define and drive technology- and product roadmaps aligned with the business strategy Make business cases and project scoping Act as technical lead in complex and cross functional projects Conduct IPR assessments and ensuring freedom to operate Ensuring quality by design reviews Represent Vestas in relevant working groups and committees Interface to academia and partnership projects Competence development Qualifications: M.Sc. and probably a PhD in Electrical Engineering Minimum 15 years of professional experience Experience with power system steady state and dynamic analysis You may have worked with Grid operators, Power generators, Utilities, Grid consulting companies, Transmission- or Distribution companies, converter designs etc. Detailed knowledge of simulation models like PSCAD Basic knowledge of real time control systems and software development would be advantageous Excellent communication skills in English orally and written International working experience would be advantageous Competencies: You have the desire and the ability to understand and maintain overview of a wide range of advanced technical domains within grid integration like ancillary services, main circuit design, protection, HVDC and BoP equipment You are outgoing and communicates with power and trust You find it challenging and interesting to work with other people in a large organization and are capable of building up an intensive network across cultures and time zones You challenge the existing You have a high level of d
