Would you like to work in a global set-up being our specialist on dosing pumps, which is an area in Grundfos undergoing significant development and enjoying the attention from upper management? Then here is your chance to work on the newest technology within controls and Internet of Things while gaining a global network and excellent development opportunities. You become part of the Industry Segment, more specifically the department for Dosing Pumps. We are a global team based in Bjerringbro, Denmark, and Karlsruhe, Germany and consisting of 4 Product Managers and one Product Specialist. You will become our second Product Specialist and will be based in either Bjerringbro or Karlsruhe. You refer to Senior Manager, Michael Skovgaard. ”Sometimes we meet face to face in the team and other times, we talk over Skype. We also participate in cross-functional meetings and travel together. You join a professional and competent team, and even though we are very different from each other in regards to competences and cultures, we work really well together and take a proactive and positive approach to our tasks,” explains Michael. What is the job about? You will be responsible for ensuring that a specific product family is adapted to the current market demands as well as for the application and product support to the sales- and service companies. Being Grundfos’ specialist within dosing pumps, you work on the controls and the chemistry and spend time analysing the products and their functionality to know them in depth. Moreover, you then transform your knowledge to training material for your colleagues. Another part of your job is to update product documentation and specifications in our systems. You also partake in a review group working on specifications for a group of new products. Being the primary go-to-person for this area, you act as first point of contact globally. Moreover, you can expect some travel between Bjerringbro and Karlsruhe. “Some of these products are critical to the future performance of Grundfos, so you handle an attractive and business critical area under the watchful eye of the top of the organisation. As it is a new area, they will see you as the specialist and have great expectations towards the products and their development,” says Michael. What do you need to apply? You are an Engineer with good experience in controls or chemistry. If you have experience as a Product Specialist and/or with dosing pumps, it is an advantage. You are fluent in English in both speech and writing, and preferably you know German as well. If you know French, it is a plus. “On a personal level, you are proactive and good at networking, approaching your tasks with a positive attitude. You are in contact with both internal and external stakeholders, so you need to be able to get your message across and handle potential issues with products in a diplomatic way,” finishes Michael.
