You will join Grundfos HVAC OEM, where we deliver hydraulic high quality solutions worldwide for gas boilers, heat pumps and thermal solar systems etc. Our mission in HVAC OEM is to be the no. 1 partner to original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) worldwide in the HVAC industry. More specifically, you will be part of the department HVAC OEM D&E Mechanics which is responsible for the development and technical maintenance of the OEM standard products. You refer to Mechanics Manager, Dorte Jepsen. ”Our philosophy is that development comes from going beyond limitations, so you will experience a climate with focus on individual development. You will get to work closely with a PTR team consisting of 2 other colleagues – a Product Technical Responsible and an Assistant, who are ready to spar with you and share knowledge and ideas,” explains Dorte What is the job about? In close cooperation with our Technical Key Account Managers, you will take over the Engineering responsibility for the standard part of our product portfolio. Your work will take you travelling up to 10 % of your working days as you cooperate with colleagues at our factories in Denmark, France, Germany, England, Hungary, China, Serbia and the USA. As such, you plan, coordinate and follow up on engineering activities, both locally and globally, and make quality improvements and rationalisations in production worldwide. In your job, you will also be responsible for smaller product development projects acting as a bank of knowledge for your product range and making sure the products are of the highest quality. This also entails understanding and ensuring compliance with relevant global directives and standards as well as implementing processes and methods to make us fully dressed for future challenges. Working closely with our labs, you also carry out tests to qualify new solutions andpurchased components. “The challenge in this job is the degree to which you have to network and multitask. You will literally be in contact with every colleague – from the man on the production floor to the Director – and you need to be able to relate while also having the technical knowledge to have discussions about the products. Also, you will be working on multiple tasks in several different productions and divisions at a time,” says Dorte. What do you need to apply? You are a Mechanical Engineer with good experience and knowledge of design and engineering work in a development role or a production. Moreover, you are fluent in English. “On a personal level, you are comfortable working in an international and dynamic environment and wish to work in a large organisation. You have a strong drive for results and improvements and are an excellent communicator, who can communicate and network across functions. Finally, you like to work independently and take an analytical and structured approach to your tasks,” finishes Dorte.
