Maersk Oil is looking for a Production Engineer to join the Asset Production Support team at the Esbjerg site in Denmark. Asset Production Support is part of the Production Support department, responsible for supporting the operations of five main oil and gas process facilities and associated satellites in the North Sea. Key Responsibilities Your main responsibility will be to coordinate and resolve long-term issues related to safety, production and operations across all assets in the Danish Business Unit. This will involve coordination with other departments as well as external consultants and suppliers. You will work closely with the Production Engineers located in the Assets and provide functional (discipline) support as required. You will be a key player in the implementation of production related corporate initiatives such as Production Excellence, which involves implementing processes and systems that well help the business run more smoothly. Examples of specific jobs could be resolving ongoing safety issues by ensuring procedures are updated according to learnings and the latest legislation requirements. Furthermore it could be the implementation of tools, systems and ways of working to optimize production and safety. Who we are looking for The ideal candidate has a background as operator in a production unit and holds a degree either as Marine Engineer or a B.sc or M.sc in process or production engineering – alternatively you hold an another relevant engineering degree – combined with practical, hands-on experience from e.g. process industry, heat/power plant, down-stream Oil & Gas , maritime duty or the like. You are self-motivated with a high sense-of-urgency and work in a cooperative manner with a keen eye for details. You have outstanding analytical, coordinating and problem solving skills. As a person, you are a team player who thrives in a fast paced environment Proficiency in verbal and written English is a requirement – Danish speaking would be an advantage..
