Application date Sunday, April 12, 2015 - 23:59 Location Lyngby, Denmark Haldor Topsoe has decided to expand its product portfolio to Operation & Maintenance of fertilizer and methanol plants, utilizing our expertise in optimizing plant performance. This means that we for a targeted group of customers will be operating, maintaining and producing products. Haldor Topsoe O&M is located in Lyngby, Denmark and New Delhi, India. This position will be based in Denmark with shorter business trips to site locations or for customer meetings. However, during implementation phases of an O&M contract you might have to stay up to a month on the site location. Our present focus areas are Sub-Sahara and Asia. The position reports to the O&M Business Manager. We are looking for an independent hands-on project development manager who gets things done without losing overview of the details. You need to possess a large degree of flexibility as your assignments can change with short notice. There will be plenty of responsibility depending on how many projects you will be running and which phase they are in. Each project has yearly revenues of USD30-50 million. You will be responsible for execution of new O&M projects from the pre-sale phase to implementation of the signed agreement. This entails leading and organizing various departments and stakeholders in Haldor Topsoe. Once a contract is to be implemented you will support the Plant General Manager in the roll-out of the implementation plan and make sure that we work within the signed O&M agreement. It is therefore an advantage if you have experience implementing and deploying large scale people projects in emerging markets. Additional assignments are coordination with other Haldor Topsoe Business Units when making combined offers, as well as developing and securing that our templates and models are up to date. Your responsibilities: •Support O&M Business Manager in developing O&M as a business within Haldor Topsoe •Prepare O&M proposals •Work with other departments to understand what it requires to conduct O&M in different countries •Support Plant General Manager when O&M contracts are to be implemented •Participate in meetings with clients, partners etc. 60 – 80 travel days per year •Work closely with our Chemical Business Unit and India Office Optimization of utilizing cross-project experiences and communicate these to the relevant departments within Haldor Topsoe You •Are responsible, independent, and methodical •Are persistent and operate well under pressure •Demonstrate initiative as well as commercial and technical flair •Have flair for troubleshooting and thrive in cross-cultural contexts •Have excellent communication and teamwork skills •Are committed to your work and strive to make a difference. Qualifications You have 10+ years work experience including experience as a project manager leading cross country projects with stakeholders of all levels. As a minimum you have a B.Sc. degree in chemical or mechanical engineering. However, if you have experience working with the O&M concept, either as a project developer or implementation manager, you may have a different background. Finally, you of course speak and write English fluently and preferable also French.
