Join us and become Senior Financial Controller in Financial Controlling which is responsible for such activities as financial controlling of the Wind Power business unit, financial reporting to Group functions, internal controls in Wind Power and development and maintaining accounting procedures. The department is part of Wind Power which has 1800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You will be based in our office in Gentofte and you should expect some travelling in relation to your work (around 5-10 days per year). Your key duties will be to •be responsible for the development of Wind Power accounting principles and ensure the affiliates’ compliance with principles •support the financial reporting of the Wind Power business unit to Group functions especially around month-end closing •be responsible for the continuous monitoring of contingent liabilities for reporting to the Audit & Risk Committee Your qualifications and core competences include that you •have a structured approach and are able to plan and carry out tasks independently •know the importance of being self-motivated with regard to gathering information and can navigate in an informal environment while still being able to communicate at all management levels •are detail-oriented, analytical and can communicate results at a general level •in addition to being a team player, are able to work individually, are committed, proactive and highly focused on quality. You have a master's degree within auditing and/or accounting and have an extensive experience from auditing or from working with reporting and internal control maters in a sizeable international company. You have an extensive experience with IFRS and is a master of the standards application both from a technical and practical point of view. As we operate in a highly international environment, it is an advantage if you speak and write English fluently and are familiar with typical systems applied for financial reporting benefit.
