Copenhagen Local / International HSSEQ (Health, Safety, Security, Environment, Quality) Ref.: MO-050552 Maersk Oil is seeking a Senior HSE Advisor with a background in geophysical operations to fill a position in their Corporate HSE Department in the company’s headquarters in Copenhagen. The successful candidate will advise the Maersk Oil executive team (MOET) and the wider organization on matters pertaining to technical Health & Safety (H&S) performance; the implementation and monitoring of core H&S strategies, policies and programs that support safe and sustainable operations and legislative compliance; to coordinate the development of standards, processes and resources to enable the delivery of our Incident-Free commitment within Maersk Oil. The successful candidate will also work closely with the operations teams (geophysical operations, borehole geophysics and geomatics) within Maersk Oil's Global Subsurface Technology Department (GST), to provide effective support in the business and exploration units (BU/ExU) and interface with contractors to enable and ensure continued compliance with Maersk Oil H&S standards and policies and improvements to the GST Operations Standards and operations contracts. We Offer • Experience of strategic HSE and business operations in a global organization • Experience of communicating and working with the Maersk Oil Corporate functions • Experience with a wide range of projects using various geophysical technologies distributed globally • Opportunity to make a difference in a mid-sized global oil and gas company • Leadership and Supervision Key Responsibilities Personal Role Responsibilities: • Coordinate the development and delivery of resources of the Technical HSE team in support of departmental and corporate objectives and initiatives. • Challenge the compliance and effectiveness of existing business processes and systems. • Promote the use of H&S management tools and techniques for risk reduction and process improvement. • Create and deliver core technical H&S standards and guidance • Represent Maersk Oil within industry and governmental forums to ensure access, and input, to the most up-to-date consensus on H&S management. • Lead and/or participate in Incident Investigations in MOG as required • Be the focal point for liaison with, and support to, GST activities Maintain the GST Operations Standards (GOS) which as a minimum, complies with Maersk Oil Corporate HSE standards, international OGP HSE standards, industry best practices and verify the continuous improvement of the Standard; Prepare HSE content of tender documents for GST Operations projects globally; Organize HAZID and ENVID studies with relevant BU/ExU and other stakeholders prior to tender submission; Specify minimum HSE tender requirements in corporation with relevant BU/ExU (including scouting in land seismic operations); Evaluate contractor HSE tender material including organizing 2nd party audit of contractor, if needed. Provide HSE support to GST Operations project managers in project planning and execution of GST Operations projects globally including: i) HSE monitoring of geophysical and survey contractors; ii) Reporting of HSE statistics to applicable BU/ExU HSE departments; and iii) Performing regular field visits to operations crews onshore and offshore, when applicable. Primary Interfaces: • Director of Technical Services (Corporate HSE) – direct reporting line; • Vice President HSE – MOET member; • Team Leads in the operations-related GST teams (geophysical data acquisition, borehole geophysics and geomatics) – for collaboration on tenders, projects, HAZIDs/ENVIDs and HSE-critical operations standards; • BU/ExU HSE Managers – to establish project management system structures, processes, and responsibilities and to provide support during seismic operations; • Auditors – to provide instruction, guidance and feedback on audit matters.
