Head of Flow and Supply Planning We are looking for a leader to head up Flow & Supply Planning in EMA Operations. The function is, with its approx. 22 employees, responsible for flow optimization, production planning and - scheduling as well as ensuring an overview of capacity and capability in EMA Operations – both on short – and long term. The function has the following responsibilities: - Managing planning and scheduling activities in EMA Operations - Applying a LEAN mindset in optimization of flow, OEE and line balancing across the various production departments in EMA Operations - Coordination of LEAN activities and coaching/training of leaders and employees - Long term capacity planning in collaboration with the Global Planning function (S&OP process) - Business process improvement projects, KPIs and off shoring activities - OHS-, environmental- and quality compliance in the region. Employees are located in Kalundborg, Bagsværd and Fuglebakken. The function also works closely together with technology specialists to ensure that future capacity needs are reflected in the investment plans for all of EMA Operations. Qualifications As the ideal candidate you have an educational background (M.Sc. or similar) with strong logistics/planning/LEAN focus and experience in working with this from a production environments. Experience with bulk production is a plus. In addition you have good knowledge of business and production processes in general. You are passionate about leading people and have the ability to drive, innovate and inspire people around you. Experience with people management and organizational development and strategy deployment is a must. You must have strong competences within the area of flow optimization. You must have a LEAN mindset and be familiar with elements such as lead time, lead time variation, OEE, cyclic planning, line balancing, SMED and VSM. We are looking for a strategic and business-minded person, who is results-oriented and high-performing. The ideal candidate also has strong networking/engagement skills, driven by a commitment to make a difference. We expect you to be a positive, proactive, self-driven, and open-minded team player capable of combining the role as people manager for your department with your cross-functional tasks and deadlines. It is important that you are a strong communicator and not afraid to take a stand and get it executed. Challenges The Flow and Supply Planning organization was recently reorganized to ensure a stronger strategic focus, and the key challenge will therefore be to develop the organization to fulfill the new ambitions for the function. This includes lifting the organizational focus from an operational level – to a more long-term strategic level. Flow and Supply Planning is a very important function in EMA Operations, as they are responsible for the overall capacity utilization in the largest and most complex region in Novozymes. Another important challenge will be to ensure optimal use of SAP APO systems and to standardize procedures and collaboration with the Global Planning function. The head of Flow and Supply Planning will be responsible for people management and maintaining a high operational performance in production scheduling, raw material planning and capacity utilization. In your role, you will often represent EMA Operations with respect to capacity evaluations and have Supply Chain Management as your primary interface partner.
