Can you drive strategic marketing initiatives within a global context and influence the market strategy for a leading player with many professional customers around the globe? At Danfoss, we want to strengthen our Heating Segment marketing setup and therefore have an opening for a strong marketing profile for the position as Strategic Marketing & Pricing Director. Initially you will have three employees in direct report and will play a key role in driving the changes in our marketing strategy within the business segment. The job will require up to 40% travelling per year. Strategic marketing & pricing With referral to the Senior Director, Global Marketing for Danfoss Heating Segment (DHS), your main focus will be within Sales & Marketing strategy in the segment, where you will play a key role in driving strategy and market planning across DHS regions. In addition, you will lead the pricing function across DHS. Key responsibilities within the strategic aspect will be to: •Drive market plans process across DHS, securing definition, alignment and execution of strategic priorities (hot spots) among regions, business units and vertical market segments teams •Support the Sales & Marketing Organisation (SMO) leadership on cycle planning coordination (including Business Review Meetings) together with finance and SMO Project Management Office •Drive key strategic projects definitions & deployments across DHS SMO •Lead market intelligence function in synchronisation with DHS strategy team in order to strengthen market insights across DHS •Coordinate Customer Insights (including Customer Loyalty Index process deployment) inside DHS Key responsibilities within the pricing aspect will be to: •Act as “guardians of profitable growth” driving pricing excellence across DHS •Lead pricing process and performance improvements together with key internal pricing stakeholders (regions, verticals/business units, and finance) •Define clear governance structure across multiple stakeholders •Develop and deploy methodology and tools for strategic price positioning including competitor benchmarking •Ensure consistently aligned and differentiated price management across regions, channels, customer segments •Develop and deploy methodology and tools for strategic price positioning incl. competitor benchmarks across main categories together with business units/vertical market segments teams for increased differentiation including value pricing and improved competitiveness Strategic mind-set, with excellent communication skills You have a business degree within Strategic Marketing or similar, potentially topped with a MBA. You have solid experience in driving strategic marketing initiatives in an international environment. You have managed pricing in an international organisation. Moreover, it will be an advantage if you have change management experience. You are business-oriented and have a proven track record with visible results regionally and globally in this respect. You are in possession of a strong customer mind-set and have the ability to motivate, inspire, and influence others and work across functions in an international environment. You are a strong leader, able to execute strategic plans, and your excellent interpersonal and communication skills enable you to coordinate with and involve multiple stakeholders across the organisation.
