We now offer a unique position as a technical manager – lead mechanical engineer in our Production Plant Engineering where we develop and install production lines and equipment that help clean oil and ensure more environmentally friendly fuels. You will collaborate with your 50 colleagues within Production Plant Engineering as well as with colleagues from our other business units and sites. You will be offered extensive training, the opportunity to participate in relevant courses, and close collaboration with more experienced colleagues. Frequent travels will give you the opportunity to explore diverse cultures and develop cross-cultural understanding and cooperation skills. Your responsibilities as technical manager •Coordination of engineering with sub suppliers and our engineering office in India •Coordination of construction contractors and local engineering support in Houston •Travel between 40 and 80 days per year on technical service trips with a duration of typically one to two weeks, however during construction periods, trip duration may be longer. Your responsibilities as lead mechanical engineer •Specification, planning, and budgeting of mechanical part of projects •Mechanical design, preferably in Autodesk Inventor •Technical procurement contract negotiation •Planning and management of construction work in Houston •Timely commissioning •Participation in Hazop and FMEA. You •Are responsible, independent, and methodical •Demonstrate initiative as well as technical flair •Are committed to your work and strive to make a difference •Have excellent communication and teamwork skills •Have flair for troubleshooting and thrive in cross-cultural contexts. Qualifications You have a degree in mechanical engineering and preferably you are a skilled craftsman. Ideally you possess 5 years of experience in the field of mechanical engineering from an international company. The challenges we offer will match your level of experience.
