We are looking for several experienced JavaScript/UI engineers to help us create a high quality e-commerce front-end for the e-Markets Nexus platform. In these roles you will be part of creating our state of the art e-commerce web application. You will use your extensive front-end development experience to ensure a high quality solution for complex user journeys. You will also be implementing the new concepts which are introduced on the platform over coming years. We believe that quality goes hand in hand with ownership, so we are looking for someone to be strong co-owners of our platform components. This also means that you will be part of maintaining and supporting what you develop. The position we offer e-Markets is the e-business area of Nordea’s fixed income, currency and commodities Capital Markets business. We are both a business area deeply integrated in our business and an IT development organisation. Over the past 10 years e-Markets has been instrumental in changing the Capital Markets business. We are now focusing on the next steps for e-business and have high ambitions of creating a unique user experience. We have equally high ambitions for an outstanding UI design and implementation and use the latest in web development tools and agile processes to achieve our goals. We are creating a one stop shop for our customers collating all of our services in a modern web based platform – and adding new areas to our service offering. The platform is a single page application using the following technologies: HTML, JavaScript, CSS and SVG. The qualifications you need You are an experienced front-end developer with at least 3 years experience in developing large scale and responsive web applications. Experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SVG along with a JavaScript MV* framework such as AngularJS is a prerequisite. Previous experience with Foundation, Grunt, AMD/RequireJS, NodeJS, Karma, Mocha, Protractor, WebdriverJS and SASS/Compass using WebStorm and Git/Stash is an advantage. You will be liaising with other developers in e-Markets as well as e-Markets colleagues involved in concept development, such as our in-house UX team, so we are looking for someone who enjoys co-creation. We have a strong team spirit, where we work professionally and at the same time have an informal and open atmosphere. English is our working language and the language used on our platform, so you must be fluent in written and spoken English.
