Commercial Director Johnson Controls Global WorkPlace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Commercial Director for two of our global facilities management contracts. Based in Denmark or Sweden the Commercial Director is a key Business partner, providing commercial and financial management and advice, to Global Account Executives leading two of our key clients. Working in a matrix organisation the role needs to be able to balance the requirements at a local level whilst also ensuring global standards and processes are adhered to; good communication is a must to ensure that all parties understand deliverables and obligations. A strong relationship with the Operations Lead as well as Account Lead is a key requirement as is the ability to understand the how operational decisions impact the finance and commercial obligations on the account. There is an expectation that this role will form part of the key management team on the accounts and be involved in all aspects of decision making which influence the operational deliverables. The Commercial Director reports to the Finance Director for the Sub Region, Nordics The Role of the Commercial Director: •Serve as a key member of the Account leadership teams supporting the Global Account Executives Provide financial and commercial leadership at regional, global, and executive governance meetings. •Work independently; taking day-to-day ownership of all financial and commercial aspects of the Account. •Communicates both formally and informally, to the Finance Director, Sub region, and others, on key issues •Displays dynamic leadership skills driving results working through both Johnson Controls and Client's matrix organizations •Performs business and contract evaluations to identify future opportunities for improvement and barriers to achieving financial objectives •Responsible for an in-depth knowledge of the terms and conditions of the contract to ensure that all cost elements are appropriately billed and accounted for •Key member of strategic Account planning to optimize profitable growth and retention •Assists the Business Development Group to analyze and recommend structure, pricing and terms/conditions for rebids, expansions and new business proposals •Provides Account financial oversight, tracking, reporting and variability analysis, while working to improve actual financial results consistent with operating plan and strategic objectives •Manage all planning/forecasting, formal and ad-hoc, including P&L, B/S, and Capital Planning. •Manage the monthly close process for the Account to ensure accurate and timely close in compliance with SOX and GAAP. •Serves the Client on a day-to-day basis, ensuring financial results, reporting, accounting, contract compliance, and staffing meet or exceeds Client requirements. •Develop models that provide financial implications and direction in support of projects, change requests, new business and opportunities. •Provides financial leadership, training and direction to Direct Reports to improve their financial and business skills so they can more effectively manage the Account and to create a pipeline of future fina
