In the Data Modeller role within Group Function IT you will be working closely with the Head of Data Engineering. The position we offer Group Functions IT is responsible for the technology that is driving to make data one of the core assets in Nordea. Data is critical to our business and our customers. We harness the power of data to understand the needs of our customers, provide our customers with a true digital experience through all our contact points with them and tailor our products to best meet their needs. Data is also our primary ammunition in the fight against wrong doing and bad behaviour as it powers our defensive capability in Risk, Fraud and Financial Crime. Data Engineering are the team that are building the core Nordea data platform in collaboration with colleagues in business operations and other parts of Nordea technology. We are working to scale out the current Corporate Data Warehouse such that it becomes a general purpose platform that supports all of our business lines and help enable the Nordea simplification and digitalisation strategies. Working as a data modeller for Group Functions IT you will be at the heart of the development of the Nordea data architecture. The role demands both a highly technical and a business centric individual. You will be expected to listen and understand complex business concepts and from these requirements build a robust and performant physical data model. The qualifications you need The ideal candidate has knowledge of and/or experience in data management, including data governance, data quality, master data management and metadata management. Other skills and competencies that would make you a great match: •5+ years demonstrable modelling and analysis of data migration exercises •Experience in 3rd normal form and/or dimensional modelling techniques •Working knowledge of at least one Datamodelling case tool preferably ErWin •Excellent communication, analytical and judgment skills •Utilities domain knowledge - strong background and understanding of Utilities business processes •Case Tools, ERDs, DFDs, UML - demonstrable experience ideally with Enterprise Architect or similar tools •Substantial experience of the IT Project management life cycle •Be customer focused with ability to identify and understand the customer's needs •Have creative problem solving and analysis skills with an ability to identify develop and implement solutions to gaps to meet the needs of the business •Excellent written English communication skills, to the level required to own solutions and appropriate documentation. •Excellent written and verbal English is essential for success in this role.
