We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated laboratory technician or medical laboratory technician for a 14 month vacancy in Måløv at the Department of Haemophilia Research Bioanalysis. Preferred start is 1st of March 2015. About the department The Department of Haemophilia Research Bioanalysis is an area within the Global Research Unit. We support the discovery and development of new innovative biopharmaceuticals for treatment of haemophilia. Our core competence is development of coagulation assays for bioanalysis of animal plasma samples and for potency estimations. The department currently consists of 7 scientists and 7 technicians that are divided into two teams, and the open position is in the bioanalysis team. The job We offer you an inspiring job with many challenges and you will have the opportunity to be a part of the development of new drug candidates for treatment of haemophilia. You will mainly be working with functional assays such as chromogenic and clot assays for quantitative measurements of coagulation activity in animal plasma samples. You will work with the scientists, but we encourage a degree of independence that puts you as the main driver. You play an active part in planning experiments and interpreting results. You are open to facing new challenges that are a part of our daily routine in a research lab. You have a central role in the daily maintenance of core functions in the department and careful electronic documentation of results is a crucial part of your job. Qualifications Professionally, you are a laboratory technician or medical laboratory technician with a background in functional assays. Preferably, you have experience with coagulation-proteins and bioanalysis of plasma samples. You display an ability to independently plan, conduct and analyze your experiments. An essential part of this is that you understand the principles behind your work. It’s important to you to produce high quality results in a timely fashion. On a personal level you are dedicated and thorough – also when you handle numerous tasks simultaneously. You are also a team player, who is always ready to solve problems with your colleagues. You have good communication skills and collaborate with colleagues at all levels and contribute to a pleasant atmosphere during working hour. Finally, good competencies in spoken English and the ability to write laboratory journal in English are important for undertaken day-to-day obligations.
