Are you an impassioned and professional engineer with a great sense of quality assurance and solid experience within the field, and would you like to play an important part in improving performance in a talented, highly dynamic and fast-paced department? Then you might be our new Factory Quality Engineer in the Refrigeration & Air Condition Controls department at Danfoss in Kolding. The job entails some travelling, but you will mainly be affiliated to the factory in Kolding. Quality improvement and customer focus With reference to the Director of Operations Quality, we are looking for a Factory Quality Engineer whose main area of responsibility will be quality assurance. You will be protecting our customers in the problem solving processes, and you will drive quality improvements in production to ensure a stable output and reduce wastage and modifications. Moreover, you are to ensure that quality systems and standards are present and followed and that data analysis is fact-based. In addition, your main tasks will be to: •Make continuous quality improvements, including ensuring that production does not make errors as well as supporting the execution of improvement projects and ensuring alignment of these with the quality strategy •QMS audit: Facilitate external and internal audits of the quality management system – control and support the quality systems •Change control: Analyse changes before implementation in products and processes and ensure compliance with our customers’ expectations •Waivers – in case of a critical delivery situation, ensure risk analysis for the use of products/processes •Crisis management in case of product quality errors •Perform quality analyses and analyse process problems in production based on market complaints Your overall task will be to have a strong focus on quality assurance while at the same time being able to inspire the employees at the factory in having a strong quality mind-set, well-developed competences and a professional customer focus. Your success depends on your ability to continuously improve performance in order to reach the set KPIs, e.g. zero failures towards our customers. Robust and experienced quality engineer As a minimum, you hold a bachelor’s degree within engineering, and you have several years’ technical experience with quality and quality assurance. In addition, you are experienced in production processes and, preferably, customer service and also possibly in training. As a person, you are robust and communicative, and you know how to stick to your decisions when facing challenges. You have a qualitative approach to solving core problems and to customer service, and it comes naturally to you to be result and target-oriented. You are independent, and you are able to maintain a general view and address many different tasks at a time without losing focus. Moreover, you are good at facilitating teamwork. You have good interpersonal skills and are capable of communicating at all levels, and you thrive in an environment where you work with both customers and colleagues. As a minimum, you possess knowledge of ISO9000 and, preferably, TS 16949. You appear open-minded, accommodating and inspire confidence.
