- Laboratory Technician - Denmark - Måløv We are seeking a temporary lab technician within cell biology. Do you want to be part of a dynamic, technology-driven department engaged in cutting edge stem cell and beta cell research to develop a novel therapy for the treatment of Diabetes? About the department The Islet and Stem Cell Biology Department is placed in Måløv and is part of the Insulin, Incretin & Islet Biology area in Global Research (GR). We count 10 academics, 16 technicians, 4 students and are experts within stem cell and beta cell biology. We conduct stem cell and beta cell regeneration research and other early-stage investigations aimed at finding a cure for diabetes. The Job The position is a 13 month temporary position. Your job tasks will be within cell culture, cell analysis like FACS analysis, gene expression analysis and functional cellular assays. Depending on your qualifications you can be involved and trained in many different techniques and work in project-based teams with technicians and scientists to meet common goals. You will be exposed to a variety of cell biology tasks and you will be working with various instrument types, data file structures and assay techniques. Qualifications You have an education as a laboratory technician and you have documented experience in working with cell-based assays. You are dedicated about your work and have a strong drive to take responsibility. You are quality-conscious, well-organised and have a flair for electronic data handling and reporting. You are skilled within in vitro cell biology and relevant knowledge within stem cell biology, FACS and cell sorting would be a plus, but is not a necessity.
