Copenhagen K / Local-International / Procurement / Ref.: GF-062797 Maersk Group Procurement is looking for a Project Procurement Specialist with experience in the upstream Oil & Gas sector, preferably with category management and major CAPEX project procurement. The role will be part of the Oil & Gas Category Management team and will focus on project procurement support for Maersk Oil’s business units in Angola, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Esbjerg, Aberdeen, Houston and Copenhagen. You will be part of our small project services team in Copenhagen and the philosophy is, that you after a short period in our head office will be stationed for periods up to 1 year in Maersk Oil’s business unit’s abroad, where we are executing major projects. You will be seen as a part of a pool of resources, which move where the projects are - so the role requires a high degree of mobility. Typically you will be: • Guiding and participating in complex onshore and offshore CAPEX projects • Developing procurement & contracting strategies • Collecting and analysing proposals and tenders from suppliers within assigned spend categories • Stakeholder collaboration on multiple levels • Negotiating contracts and frame agreements • Ensure that learnings are logged and carried forward in the organisation We Offer A career in a Fortune 500 company: A key position supporting Maersk Oil, which is striving to be a key growth driver for the A.P. For Group Procurement, fast growth means a steady stream of exciting challenges Key Responsibilities You will be involved in developing and implementing procurement strategies for major CAPEX projects and strategic spend categories: • Supporting Maersk Oil in developing procurement and contracting strategies • Collaboration with technical community and the Procurement organization • Gathering and analysing business and market intelligence to assist strategic decision making • Developing cost models to support projects and supplier selection On an operational level you will also be involved in: • Supplier portfolio development across business units globally • Active collaboration and engagement with suppliers • Supporting projects and investments • Ensuring strategic fit and risk management on major projects Who we are looking for You have been actively involved in project activities for a minimum of 3-5 years, where you have acquired experience in project procurement and category management. It’s a prerequisite that you have strong knowledge of the upstream oil & gas industry. Experience from key Categories within Subsea and also Fabrication / Engineering is important.
