This position will lead the Global Production Discipline and drive Production Management across the company's operations by development and application of Production discipline capabilities. We Offer The opportunity to have a significant impact on the development, maintenance and ongoing improvement of Production discipline and technical standards globally by ensuring the protection and effective utilisation of Maersk Oil’s assets and reputation. Long term development options as the subject matter expert for Production in Maersk Oil would include the option for further internal moves within Global Operations Key Responsibilities You will take functional resposibility for several key areas with Production including: Processes, Standards Guidelines and Tools • Develop, maintain and assure Production Discipline standards, guidelines and policies, including Production related sub-processes within the global Asset Management process o Production Management o Integrated Activity Planning o Operational Integrity Management Functional Assurance • Drive Production Excellence across all company's asset • Contribute to quality assurance of global facilities integrity ensuring safe and effective global production • Provide high quality Production discipline assurance • Ensure training and appointment of all Production staff active in PMP assurance • Manage collection and sharing of relevant Production learnings from reviews across the discipline globally Discipline Engagement • Establish and develop the Production discipline communities • Ensure peer support and knowledge sharing, driving continuous improvements and Production Excellence • Contribute and foster cross disciplinary ways of working and knowledge sharing Capability Building • Provide skills and competence assessment for key Production positions across the company • Development of skills and capabilities within discipline to fill gaps critical to the business • Application of technical ladder for discipline • Active contribution to the Maersk Oil graduate programme Production Support • Provide production technical expertise to the BUs enabling the business to conduct safe and value creating operations of the company's • assets • Provide best practice on asset production excellence • Provide production-specific expertise to Business Development teams Technology • Define production discipline technology development needs as input to technology roadmap and strategy • Provide discipline support for technology deployment across the company Who we are looking for • Detailed understanding of offshore and onshore production operations • High level of technical and people leadership skills • Strong persuading and influencing skills • Results driven • Proven technical management experience • Good working knowledge of operations disciplines • Ability to create positive relations to peers and stakeholders internally and externally • Good supervisory, written and oral communication skills and the ability to present complex technical issues in a clear and concise manner • General management experience Maersk Oil is an international oil and gas company with operated production of about 557,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day from Denmark, the UK, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Brazil and Algeria.
