Research Scientist in Pump-Probe Spectroscopy of Nanophotonic Devices

The Nanophotonics section at DTU Fotonik researches light-matter interaction in nanostructures and applications to integrated photonics and quantum information technology. We are seeking a Research Scientist for a two-year position financed by Villum Fonden through the NATEC Centre of Excellence. The starting date is June 1, 2015. Responsibilities and tasks The candidate will carry out pump-probe measurements and optical characterization of semiconductor nanostructures, as well as contributing to the design and analysis of various nanophotonic devices. The candidate is also expected to propose and supervise student projects at all levels as well as contributing to the administration and management of the Villum Centre of Excellence “NATEC”. Qualifications Candidates should have a PhD degree or equivalent. The candidate needs to have a strong background in short-pulse laser spectroscopy, dynamics of active semiconductor waveguides and low-dimensional semiconductors.
