This student assistant job is a unique opportunity for the right individual to gain valuable Security & Crisis Management experience in a global organization. This insight will ensure that academic theory is tested with the reality of global operations. The position will be time limited with possibility of extension. Key Responsibilities The scope for the position includes, but is not limited to: • Assisting with building a new Global Security Management System • Support emergency and crisis management training • Develop a “new country entry” security risk assessment system • Monitor the security situation in 2-3 counties and develop short situation reports • Conduct security risk assessments • Give input to local security procedures • Give input to local emergency and crisis management procedures • Various ad hoc security tasks Who we are looking for You are a student currently working towards a degree in Security Risk Management or Emergency and Crisis Management with at least one year left of your study. You are passionate about pragmatic security and crisis management solutions that work in reality. You have business acumen and are a good communicator. You are a motivated self-starter with drive, initiative, result-orientation and commitment to excellence. You do work best without constant supervision but you enjoy sparring with others to achieve optimal results. You are a team player with the ability to support other functions within the team as needed. You are a people person with a genuine interest in your colleagues.
