Are you an experienced marine inspector or senior officer and do you wish to be part of developing DONG Energy marine inspection? Join us and become Senior Marine Inspector in Harbour Logistics & Marine Inspection, which is responsible for the inspections of vessels of all sizes and for vessel requirements in relation to our contracts with vessel owners. Harbour Logistics & Marine Inspection is a team of seven employees and external consultants of which two are working as marine inspectors and one as external inspector. We are at the forefront of the industry with regards to marine inspections of all vessels, we have a high focus on safety behaviour and safety management on board the vessels and we wish to strengthen this approach even further with a new Senior Marine Inspector. The department is a part of Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility Your primary tasks will be to perform marine inspection of vessels of all sizes from crew transfer vessels to cable installation and jack-up vessels. You will also act as a maritime consultant in connection with vessel contracting, from defining standardised requirements to commenting on specific vessel contracts. You will plan and coordinate marine inspection jobs for external surveyors as well as provide regular training and competence monitoring of external surveyors inspecting on behalf of DONG Energy Wind Power. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •follow-up on reports, lessons learned, coordination and planning tool, accidents and incidents investigation •communicate and coordinate vessel information to and from wind farm site management •communicate and coordinate with the rest of the Harbour and Logistic department, guide site management to ensure best performance of maritime works, management and safety •ensure knowledge of rules and regulations is adopted in the daily operation •participate in maritime forums for improving market safety standards. Your profile As a minimum, you have an educational background as a ship officer, naval architect or similar at bachelor level combined with a degree and/or training in maritime law, quality management systems and auditing. You have several years of professional experience as a surveyor or superintendent as well as extensive maritime expertise. You must have good knowledge of international rules and regulations, classification and maritime standards. STCW basic safety training is preferred, but not a requirement. You are service-minded, empathic and you know how to get a message across to the team or inspected vessel owners in a respectful manner. You focus intensely on safety culture, safety awareness and safety behaviour.
