Novo Nordisk is currently starting a strategic project aiming at the execution of an assembly operation in Russia to supply the local market. We are therefore looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to take the lead on this key pharmaceutical project. About the department Contract & Local Manufacturing is responsible for establishing, monitoring and supporting our partners within licence and contract manufacturing worldwide as well as local production abroad. Things move fast in our unit, and the daily operation is dependent on cooperation with colleagues and external contract manufacturers all over the world. Now is your chance to be part of our exciting development. We are in the process of establishing an assembly production at the existing site in in Kaluga, Russia. When fully up and running, the site will function as a Product Supply facility and will employ approx. 200 employees, including QA, QC, logistics, production and support functions. You will be part of the Contract & Local Manufacturing organisation, with a reporting line to the Danish office, and close cooperation with the existing site in Kaluga. Our main office is located in Bagsværd, Denmark, however during certain periods of the project, it is expected that you will work in Russia. The job As Senior Project Manager, you are directly responsible for the project planning, design and timely execution of a building extension and an assembly operation on the existing site in Kaluga. You will also secure knowledge transfer from our process experts to the local organisation once it is operational. The operation must be in compliance with Novo Nordisk’s corporate requirements as well as EU regulations. The project will result in 30 new local positions at the site upon ramp-up to full capacity. One of your first tasks will be to define and execute the strategy for the project and you will manage this highly complex project across geographic, cultural and technical boundaries. This includes mobilizing and on-boarding project managers taking on different work packages. In order to allow for correct and timely execution, you will need to maintain a strong sense of purpose, work out the project plans and secure proper follow-up and adequate creative problem solving when required. You will also investigate and take action on any changes to the project scope, schedule or cost, which you report to management and to the project steering group. International stakeholder management and an ability to understand the political environment locally will be key to your success, as you will represent Novo Nordisk on high level at meetings and negotiations with IO and Product Supply (PS) Senior Management as well as with external suppliers. This is a unique opportunity to lead a strategic project abroad and to establish a new manufacturing site from scratch. Qualifications You hold a degree e.g. in Pharmacy, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related. You can document minimum 10 years of experience within manufacturing of pharmaceutical products and you possess an extensive knowledge of quality and regulatory requirements. You have a strong performance track record leading complex business projects or from managerial responsibilities in pharmaceutical manufacturing, manufacturing development and/or CMO. Either way, you have worked in an international environment and obtained technical knowledge as well as solid business understanding.
