Strategic Sourcing Raw Materials & Energy (RM&E) is looking for a Sourcing Project Manager in a newly established temporary position. About the department Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division, and we are responsible for the strategic sourcing activities related to Novo Nordisk’s pharmaceutical production sites worldwide as well as global management of suppliers. We organise our activities in sourcing categories through a strong cross organisational category group set-up - led by category managers. The Job In order to ensure continued profitability of future and existing drugs, Strategic Sourcing has decided to establish a new position with specific focus on leading cross category cost optimisation projects. The position is temporary for 18 months. As Sourcing Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the identification, maturation and implementation of sourcing opportunities at cross-category level. These opportunities will be targeted at significantly improving the raw material cost structures of already marketed as well as future drugs. You will work closely with the Category Managers for the relevant categories in building the cases for addressing the cost levels of the drugs. The ability to bring the portfolio of cost reduction initiatives forward to implementation and realisation in a structured and determined manner will be key for this position. Qualifications As a minimum you hold a degree as M.Sc. or equivalent in business, engineering, chemistry, pharmacy or similar. You have minimum 5 years of experience from a similar position. The right candidate has strong project/portfolio management skills and has a proven track record in implementing complex projects in large organisations with high attention on stakeholder engagement and execution. Experience within strategic sourcing is not a pre-requisite. You must be fluent in English (both written and oral) and mastering Microsoft Office. The job requires you to create a strong network internally in Novo Nordisk across the Product Supply division as well as within R&D and Finance. You must therefore have excellent communication skills, being capable of working in a complex inter-disciplinary organization and having the personal power to influence and to retain focus. Engagement and a positive mind-set, combined with a willingness to make a difference, are personal competencies needed in order to be successful in this job. Finally you must demonstrate a high level of execution.
