We are looking for a Strategic Purchaser/Category Manager for Danfoss Procurement (DP) – CAPEX. DP is responsible for strategic and tactical sourcing activities on behalf of our factories and across our global categories. It will be your mission to develop and implement category strategies and be the Category Manager for CAPEX supporting Danfoss Power Electronics Division in Gråsten. The position entails approximately 20 travelling days per year and you will be referring to our Global Category Director. Develop and implement CAPEX strategies The job will enable you to build and execute CAPEX strategies on relevant production technologies and support PE Division on executing CAPEX projects. You will have a wide interface with both internal and external stakeholders and play a central role in creating impact and changes for Danfoss. As our new Strategic Purchaser/Category Manager you will be responsible for making stepwise changes by developing and executing the category strategies in full compliance with the global strategy and supply chain needs. Furthermore, you will be responsible for supplier management. Your key tasks comprise to: •building and executing CAPEX strategies on relevant production technologies •monitoring and developing supplier performance by conducting performance dialogues with relevant suppliers •tactical/operational purchasing tasks •responsible for support in CAPEX projects •developing cooperation with suppliers and internal stakeholders •developing and implementing the corporate category strategies •initiating and driving cross divisional cost reduction and optimisation projects •ensuring full utilisation of internal synergies Strong networking skills and hungry “go-getter” You are characterised by being a proactive self-starter with high drive, ambitions and a positive can-do attitude. You have a solid, relevant educational background (production, electronics, mechanical engineer or another relevant BSc or MSc) and several years’ procurement experience. Furthermore, you are experienced in purchasing and supplier management in a complex and fast paced environment. It is essential that you are result-oriented and that you have strong negotiation skills. You are also good at leading change and prioritising. You master English at negotiation level, have diplomatic skills and are a good communicator at all levels.
