As Novo Nordisk is developing break-through oral formulations of insulin and GLP-1, we are expanding our clinical late phase organisation. That is why we are looking for a Team Leader who can set direction in a team border lining between development and production environment. You will be involved in CMC activities for process development, scaling up and filing for authority approval of solid protein dosage forms. About the department The department is newly established. During the next 6 months we are expanding from 22 to app. 85 employees. The purpose of the department is deliverables for the late stage clinical trial and preparation of filing documentation. This means qualifying the manufacturing equipment, setting and validating the manufacturing process. Also the department will be responsible for operating the late phase facility. You will report to the Director and as head of the development team, you will be member of the department Management team. The job Managing a team or department during massive expansion means that a significant task is to establish and ensure the structure, the direction, the working environment and the good communication with stakeholders. You will manage a team of 15 highly skilled specialists, scientists and technicians. Their main deliverables are setting the process parameters; becoming experts in the critical process steps and IPC and designing the large scale production set up. Once the manufacturing process is defined, your team will validate the process and write the filing documentation for authority approval. Your key to success lies within your ability to establish a positive and highly dedicated team, to prioritize and to stay calm and set direction in a hectic environment where structure is to be established. To obtain this, you lead and direct your employees on a daily basis and make sure that we have the right resources in the team. You will join a LEAN culture where continuous improvement is a natural part of our everyday work. Qualifications You have a Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy or similar and solid experience from the pharmaceutical industry, ideally an international setting. Preferably you have a background with in solid dosage processes, respectively drug product development towards late stages. Your experience as people manager has taught you how to pass your own passion on to your team in an involving and appreciative way. High-quality is a trademark for you, and you use LEAN as a naturally in your leadership. You have credibility, and you can make yourself understood and are able to realise your decisions.
