We are searching for a Technical Writer with high/medium voltage experience for our Manufacturing Engineering team in Service Technology to create work instructions for maintaining our wind turbines, globally. The Manufacturing Engineering team has overall responsibility for the internal communication and documentation that is used by our Service Technicians on site. The team comprises a mixture of administrative personnel and Service Technicians. What are my responsibilities? · Defining and creating high/medium voltage work instructions and check lists for servicing a.o. transformer and switch gears on Siemens turbines, globally. · Participating in high/medium voltage maintenance work on site both in Denmark and abroad in order to document the working process (expected 30-60 travel days per year) · Clarify maintenance needs in close collaboration with Siemens Wind Power R&D and other technical writers working on high/medium voltage documentation projects · Responsible for planning the work process by creating method statements and risk assessments prior to visiting the turbine · Ensuring EHS, technical reviews and subsequent release of work instructions and check lists in TeamCenter DMS What do I need to qualify for this job? · Experience in writing and managing technical documentation is a key requirement. It’s of the utmost importance that you are used to working closely with field technicians and using their knowledge and experience onsite as the primary input when creating work instructions. · Have an electrical background and practical experience with maintenance of high/medium voltage components · Ability to collaborate with people on all levels and with different educational backgrounds. · Fluency in English (oral and written); as English is our corporate language and is also used for writing work instructions. · An outgoing and proactive person who can structure their work assignments and who is also capable of multi-tasking. · Understand the importance of adhering to safe working practices whilst producing good quality and precise work instructions. · Experience with Team Center DMS and CMS advantageous.
