Medical & Science, Insulin & Diabetes Outcomes, Global Development, is seeking a new colleague to take up a position as VP assistant. About the Department In Global Development, we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development phases to product introduction. We ensure medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities while ensuring that the process lives up to uniform global standards, regulations and business ethics. We work in global project teams with focus on delivering viable products that make a difference to patients and ultimately benefit society. Medical & Science is responsible for the medical and clinical development of the insulin degludec product portfolio from phase 2-4. As VP assistant you will play a key role in coordinating activities within the area. The VP area consists of two Medical & Science department Directors, two International Medical Vice Presidents, the VP for the area and the VP Assistant. The Job You will act as Personal Assistant to the VP of Medical & Science, Insulin & Diabetes Outcomes and will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks such as various HR tasks as well as ensuring documentation is in compliance with Novo Nordisk standards. One of your main tasks will be to prepare the Line of Business budget forecast for the entire VP area. Moreover, you will arrange and participate in management meetings, project and area meetings, work with resource allocations in CapSys and be involved in Quality work. You will also act as informal leader of a team of three assistants in the area. Finally, you will be the web administrator within the area. You will work closely together with the management team as well as the area’s assistants, Int. Medical Directors and clinical operations area. Qualifications You will preferably have experience from a similar role within Novo Nordisk and be able to proactively take action and ownership for tasks and decisions and welcome new responsibilities. Your coordination skills and overview is excellent, while at the same time having a structured approach. You have attention to detail and independently plan to deliver tasks on time. You cooperate with people within and outside your own work area to achieve business goals, sharing learning, knowledge and skills and promoting cross-functional teamwork. You are able to handle confidential information and last but not least you have high spirits and a “can-do” attitude. You are proficient with both written and spoken English. You like to be part of a multi-cultural team, working with multiple and frequently changing priorities. You are highly skilled with MS Office and SAP and find it easy to master new IT systems.
