Do you have a deep knowledge of MAYA and modelling for game and animation purposes? Can you see yourself driving projects and meeting deadlines? Would you like a key position where you turn the beloved LEGO® Bricks into 3D versions to ensure digital play for children across the globe? Create LEGO® Elements in 3D Your main responsibility will be to turn physical bricks and entire models into 3D to be used in graphic material such as packaging, building instructions, digital games, apps, etc. Because children’s play experiences are blurred between physical and digital play, it is vital that 3D versions are as similar to and appealing as the actual brick. You will be involved in 2-4 projects at the same time, where you: Serve as a value adding partner and driver in novelty projects where you are responsible for meeting the deadline on the virtual model Deliver box modelling, simplification, texturing and clarification of elements in MAYA and MARI and to a lesser extent Headus UVLayout, Illustrator and Photoshop You will step into the Virtual Element Design team that work closely together as part of a matrix organisation. This means that you may experience that all 12 of us are working on the same project for a day in order to meet a deadline. Delve into drawing programs while delivering in new theme projects We are looking for someone with a double interest; someone who is structured and who loves to drive projects forward, while at the same time can forget time because he or she is stuck scripting. To do so, you: Have proven production and project delivery experience, ideally from the computer game industry or media or movie production as e.g. game developer, modeller or animator Have 3-5 years’ experience in box modelling and texturing in MAYA, 3D Paint and UV Unwrap, perhaps paired with a 3D related education Must have knowledge of polygons, animation and rendering as well as Photoshop, and knowledge of MARI, Headus UVLayout and Illustrator will be appreciated Are required to have great team working/interpersonal skills, allowing you to understand various kinds of personalities and their reaction patterns Keep a cool head in peak periods and understand that meeting our deadlines is crucial Join the global LEGO® Family In the LEGO Group, we succeed together, and you will be part of a global family where you can use your creativity and enjoy a fun working environment across the LEGO Community.
