Commercial Strategy and Development is a new department reporting directly to the Chief Sales Officer (CSO). The new department will work closely with Global Sales on commercial matters such as sales pipeline and portfolio planning, CRM, key account management, and pricing. The department is a central function that supports the CSO in managing the global business portfolio. The team will facilitate sales pipeline and portfolio planning as well as the annual commercial strategy process. In addition, the department will act as program office for strategic initiatives within the global sales organization. The team will work closely together with stakeholders in other central functions such as Global Sales, Construction, Supply Chain Planning, Service and Finance, and not least the regional business units (SBUs) in Europe, America and Asia-Pacific. Regional SBUs have full profit & loss responsibility and are therefore accountable for turnover and profitability, while global functions focus on deploying best practice, efficiency and performance across regions. Responsibilities: The position reports to Head of Sales Pipeline and Portfolio Management. In this role you will be working with sales pipeline and portfolio planning, forecasting and performance management and various sales improvement initiatives. In addition, you are expected to be able to contribute to the commercial strategy process and strategic initiatives within the CSO area. Main responsibilities are: Facilitate and improve a strong sales pipeline and portfolio management across regional SBUs Closely coordinate and follow up on regions on individual projects in the portfolio Provide turnover and price forecasts for supply chain and capacity planning, financial outlook and strategy Create scenarios as a complement to turnover forecasts with potential upsides and risks Drive insights on sales performance driving a constructive and action-oriented performance dialogue You will also be expected to: Deliver business analysis and fact packs for commercial strategy and strategic initiatives (e.g. pricing). Support development of commercial strategy presentations Solid experience in Excel modelling and quantitative analysis is a prerequisite In this role you are expected to be able to navigate across a matrix organization and guide collaboration partners in regional SBUs in Europe, America and Asia-Pacific Qualifications: Master level degree with focus on quantitative analysis from business school or university Limited experience from a top tier consulting firm or a large international company would be preferred Competencies: To succeed in this role you are: A team player and high performing individual Highly analytical with a holistic approach and has strong problem solving skills Pragmatic and goal-oriented, but without losing attention to the right details Structured and action-oriented and delivers within deadlines Navigating based on solid business analysis and fact-based insights Confident with ability to build strong relationship and clearly communicate within a matrix set-up Potentially experienced within project work from a position in e.g. consulting firm or international project-oriented company As our corporate language is English, you need to be fluent in English both orally and in writing What we offer: We offer you a versatile job in a high-performing and high-paced team in a global environment.
