About the department Financial Accounting is part of CAS (Corporate Accounting Services), a unit in Corporate Finance at Novo Nordisk. Financial Accounting comprises 6 employees. We handle accounting for NNAS, the parent company, global reporting of investments and trade receivables, as well as budgeting and settlement of royalty expenses. You will be part of a dynamic team of accounting specialists responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting to top management – with the opportunity of developing a broad spectrum of finance skills and of gaining extensive knowledge of the business. This will position you for a number of global career opportunities within accounting and finance in the Novo Nordisk organisation. The job As Financial Controller you will be part of the month-end closing of NNAS and work closely together with our colleagues in India and the global finance organisation. You will be responsible for the royalty process, accounting treatment of financial assets, reporting to Danish Authorities and participate in or be the project manager of cross-functional projects in close corporation with other finance units throughout our global organisation. We continuously works on optimisation of the global finance processes. The unit is part of a number of key finance processes such as preparation of Financial Statement of NNAS on an annual basis, Balance Sheet analysis and documentation to auditors, including ensuring efficient and accurate financial reporting in accordance with Novo Nordisk's accounting policy. Because we aim to be true business partners by linking finance with business development, we expect you to invest significant time and effort in understanding the business environment in which Novo Nordisk operates. Qualifications We are looking for a Financial Controller with solid experience of SAP FI and accounting, who have a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience from a similar position. Most likely, you hold a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar. Furthermore, you have strong analytical skills, a proactive and engaging personality showing strong responsibility for tasks and projects. It will be an advance to have knowledge to Business Objects. The ideal applicant aspires for an international career within global finance in a Novo Nordisk affiliate 3-4 years down the road. Furthermore international experience from previous work or study is also a plus. Combined with your strong communication skills and good sense of humour, these traits allow you to contribute proactively to our team with ideas and initiatives.
