Carlsberg A/S is looking for a Laboratory Technician to assist the Yeast Genetics group at the Carlsberg Laboratory with work on lager yeast and other microbial organisms. As Laboratory Technician you will be involved with and/or responsible for: • Carry out and support current and new research projects with e.g. running and monitoring fermentations, molecular genetic construction and analyses of strains and/or additionally performing assays for yeast screening • Manage microbial strain collections • Culturing yeasts and preparation of liquid and solid media, sterilizations • Purchasing of laboratory materials • Maintenance of laboratory equipment The candidate must be fluent in English. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and international research environment and contribute to projects combining basic and applied aspects of microbiological research. You will be part of a world leading global company that provides an experienced international team and excellent research facilities. Our research applies a range of technologies and advanced approaches in lager yeast genomics and breeding. Personal Qualifications: • An education in a microbiological discipline either as laborant technician, BSc or Master. Some years of experience in a research environment are a plus. • Knowledge and experience in microbiological techniques, e.g. sterile sampling, PCR, DNA/plasmid preparations, cloning, agarose gel electrophoresis are expected • Basic computer skills, e.g. with the Office workpackage are required • Confident to work in a team but also individually and independently and take the full ownership of your tasks • The successful candidate is expected to be well organized, efficient, and highly self-motivated Contact: Please send your resume to the link provided below.
