Do you want to play a central role when we further develop and optimise our offshore wind business? Join us and become Lead/Senior Specialist in logistics in our Operation Analysis department. You will be part of our cross-portfolio function, which serves as a link between our technical and commercial organisation. Our primary tasks are to ensure that the company’s technical insights are fed into the commercial decisions, to find the best logistics set-up for future wind farms and to develop operation and maintenance business cases for all our development projects and operational wind farms as well as working on cost of electricity initiatives. The department is a part of Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world's largest developer of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You will be based at our office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. You should, however, expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for your own projects, including processes and deliverables. The team is responsible for finding and consolidating logistics solutions for our development projects, including validation of the input used for the underlying analyses. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •manage projects in relation to developing the logistics strategy for future offshore wind farms •ensure that the company’s logistical insights are fed into the commercial decisions •be responsible for logistics modelling for development projects •deliver quantitative evaluations of logistics concepts in O&M •maintain and develop our fleet of logistical models, including our simulation model. Your profile You hold a master’s degree in, e.g., transport or supply chain management – alternatively in an energy-related field – combined with documented commercial and logistics experience and insight. You have 5+ years of relevant job experience, such as from the offshore or maritime industry or from, e.g., consultancy or investment companies or other industries with a logistics focus. You also have a profound interest in understanding both the specifics within asset operations and the commercial decisions needed in order to ensure continuous optimisation of value creation. Moreover, you have extensive knowledge of Excel and Power Point, supplemented with excellent communication and project management skills. Experience with more advanced modelling, such as simulation and optimisation of asset operation, is an advantage. It is essential that you can convey your knowledge to business partners in a professional way. As we operate in an international environment, it is crucial that you speak and write English fluently. Other languages, such as Danish and German, are an advantage. Furthermore, you are able to create results through teamwork and develop good relationships with your colleagues and business partners. You have a result-oriented approach to your work, and you are prepared to work intensely during busy periods.
