Do you have experience in machinery, robotics and/or production engineering, and would you like to work with these technologies from A-Z being a part of the entire process from concept to installation in our production? As Production Engineer in our Applied Research department, you will get the opportunity to use your skills and ideas as you are challenged by exciting new projects. The department is relatively new and consists of a global mix of 6 experienced colleagues based in Denmark, the Netherlands and Switzerland. We make innovation happen by looking at the technology we use and develop in ECCO and scouting for new technologies. You become part of a dynamic environment and a down to earth atmosphere where your ideas will be heard and you will be challenged to develop your skills. Being part of a very international team your new job will also take you travelling on a rather frequent basis. Job Profile: You will be involved in designing and building plants, industrial equipment such as machinery for shoe making from scratch, transport and conveyor systems and robotics systems. This entails being involved in projects and coming up with creative yet realisable solutions to which machines and technologies we should use. Moreover, you: •Stay up to date on the different industries to pick up on interesting new technologies. •Are in constant dialogue with our Production to hear about needs and wishes to improve quality, lead-time, gain input about current technologies etc. •Develop efficient solutions to the innovation of production processes of shoes ranging from small component designs to machinery. •Cooperate with your team - in particular with the Shoe-making specialist, the Material Scientist, and Production Facilities and act as consultant to different stakeholders within the ECCO Group. Qualifications and Work Experience: In our team, our tests and research is put into practice. This means that you have to be able to put theories into practice by building machinery and equipment from scratch based on e.g. technical drawings and blueprints. It also requires a high level of curiosity, being able to work independently, being open-minded and having a flexible mind-set. Thus, we imagine that you: •Have an engineering background at MSC level combined with at least 5 years of experience with machinery, robotics and/or production engineering and knowledge of CAD, CAM and simulation software. •Have knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, such as practical implementation of principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of manufacturing systems. •Have knowledge of machines and/or robots, tools and equipment including their designs, installation, use, repair and maintenance. •Possess a basic understanding of material inputs and knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximising the effective manufacturing and distribution of ECCO goods. •Speak and write English fluently.
