Deliver world-class technical architecture As our new Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in starting up the Big Data journey in the LEGO Group. Part of your time you will be participating in projects where you will be developing principles for documentation and governance for all of our Big Data solutions. The majority of your time you will be focusing on our Big Data platform, including driving and designing implementation, defining standards for the infrastructure, and ensuring operational excellence as well as infrastructural and functional scalability. Thus, your role will be to: Have responsibility for the technical architecture of the full Big Data platform in the LEGO Group and function as a go-to infrastructure specialist in Big Data Support and implement the technical architecture of the LEGO Big Data Configure, implement and monitor the Big Data infrastructure, troubleshoot production issues, and set and govern standards on change and release management Participate in the design, implementation and performance test phases to ensure modularity, reusability and quality of designed and implemented components Ensure complete technical documentation is developed Impact our performance You join a newly established team, where you will have 5 colleagues by the end of the year. Together you will be an extremely important part of the IT-organisation in the LEGO Group. You can proactively deliver high quality results, using your understanding and respect for deadlines combined with the qualifications below: Preferably, you have experience with Hadoop, Linux, scale out clustering, enterprise size infrastructure installations and/or script language programming You hold a master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a similar field You have experience with and understanding of working with Open Source Software. Experience working with Big Data is an advantage You have experience working with IT architecture/infrastructure.
