You will join our team of dedicated co-workers at our headquarters near Copenhagen, Denmark, and you will collaborate with senior stakeholders across Novo Nordisk to facilitate the development of strategies and plans for Novo Nordisk R&D. About the department R&D Strategy is a unit mandated by senior R&D management to work across R&D and develop strategic themes, projects and processes. The department drives strategy processes in collaboration with senior stakeholders both inside and outside R&D. Its tasks involve high level strategies, such as further developing the consolidated R&D strategy, refining the R&D pipeline, driving globalisation and organisational strategies, as well as preparing plans. The Job As Senior R&D Strategy Manager, you report directly to the Vice President of R&D Strategy and it falls to you to support or drive strategic, organisational and operational projects across the R&D areas. Apart from being involved in setting the strategic direction for R&D, such projects may include preparing therapy and technology expansion strategies and plans as well as defining cross value chain governance models. Furthermore, you will support the Vice President in refining and updating the overarching R&D strategies. You may also expect to be deployed as an internal consultant to functional units within Novo Nordisk R&D. As internal consultant you facilitate and drive operational and strategic projects and perform in-depth analysis of areas of interest to the unit. Qualifications You have a PhD or MD/PhD in life science, as well as a Master of Business Administration or similar. You have at least 5 years pharma or biotech experience from a top consultancy firm or from strategic planning departments within a large pharmaceutical company. Furthermore, you have had postdoctoral experience with medical, molecular biology or biology driven research or extended experience with clinical drug development. Utilising your project management skills and keen understanding of organisational and operational development, you are able to successfully drive strategic analysis projects. Combined with an excellent business understanding of the pharma industry and R&D value chain, you apply your scientific aptitude and understanding of applied research and clinical development to reach your goals.
