Are you an experienced reservoir engineer looking for an exciting and challenging career opportunity? Join us as Team Lead in the Hejre Subsurface Team which is responsible for the successful reservoir development of the Hejre HP/HT field. The first of minimum 5 development wells is about to spud at the newly installed platform. First production is expected in 2016. In addition, the team is responsible for evaluation and maturation of the numerous prospects in the catchment area of the new platform. The Hejre Subsurface Team is a part of Exploration & Production, which has 700 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We explore for and produce oil and natural gas. Today, our activities are centred in the seas off Denmark, Norway and the United Kingdom, and we have an ambitious growth strategy with many exciting projects in the pipeline. You will be based at our office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling to our sites and other offices in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility As Team Lead, you will contribute to as well as lead and organise reservoir engineering evaluations with a very high focus on appropriate integration of the work with other disciplines. You will deliver detailed reservoir engineering input for integrated development planning and optimisation of the Hejre field and near field prospects from discovery to early field life. Moreover, you will mentor and handle professional and personal development of reservoir engineering staff in collaboration with the reservoir engineering discipline manager. The main tasks of the team include data analysis, PVT modelling, input for generation of development scenarios, predictions of production profiles as well as detailed evaluations of sensitivities. Moreover, you will be responsible for evaluating optimal well counts, preparing individual well performance predictions and monitoring and analysing well performance. In addition, you will establish reserve estimates, identify new reservoir potential and prepare dynamic reservoir simulations. You will also be responsible for preparing well test designs and analyses and handle material balance calculations. You will also carry out studies of near wellbore effects and handle wellbore and lift curve modelling. You will be collaborating extensively with internal stakeholders to ensure full discipline integration and data acquisition strategies for the drilling phase. Moreover, you will ensure proper monitoring of day-to-day operations and data integration in static and dynamic models, and you will participate actively in knowledge sharing across the entire organisation, enabling you to play your part in dealing with external stakeholders, such as partners and the authorities. Your profile You hold an academic degree, preferably at master’s level or higher, in a relevant engineering discipline. Moreover, you have extensive relevant working experience and hands-on experience in reservoir simulation. This will include recent in-depth experience of reservoir simulation, including history matching, preferably directly related to field development activities for an operator. It is essential that you are able to and interested in collaborating with other subsurface disciplines. Furthermore, you have experience in and flair for mentoring and leading other staff. You will also have in-depth understanding of fundamental reservoir engineering principles, eg actual experience with fluid (PVT) analysis, well test analysis, SCAL work, and rock physics. In addition, you have considerable experience with development planning of both green-field and brown-field; the latter with matching of historic production and pressure data. It is important that you have hands-on experience with the use of probabilistic and statistical methods for production forecasting and uncertainty quantification.
