We are looking for a Team Leader for one of the teams in the Clinical Data Standards department. We are part of the Global Development organisation responsible for transforming promising new drug candidates into effective treatments for patients. About the department The department is situated in Søborg and currently employs 26 people working in various roles to support standard ways of handling data across Novo Nordisk clinical trials. You will be part of a department that develops and supports the use and governance of our clinical data standards across multiple systems used for data collection and reporting of our clinical trials. We are currently in the process of implementing CDISC standards and redefining roles and processes to ensure future compliance. We work closely with multi-functional and international teams on a variety of clinical and technical projects in a pleasant and informal atmosphere. The job As Team Leader you will be responsible for day to day management of the Clinical Data Standards Team 1, whose primary focus is to ensure development and maintenance of global CRF and data base standards in Novo Nordisk’s clinical IT systems in alignment with external data standards (CDISC). You will provide leadership, direction, and project management for the staff working in the department and as a person you are outgoing, motivated, enthusiastic, proactive, and independent. You will work closely with the Manager of Clinical Data Standards and the two other Team Leaders in the department, as well as with key stakeholders within the broader Data Management and Biostatistics organisations, both in Søborg and India. You will coach, mentor and develop the team in alignment with business needs and Novo Nordisk Way. Qualifications You have a M.Sc. within IT, natural sciences or other relevant degree as well as in-depth knowledge and experience working with clinical data standards in the pharmaceutical industry. You have high experience working with standards within clinical IT systems (EDC, CDMS and CDW), relational databases, standards governance, CDISC and clinical data domains. We expect you to have at least 8 years’ experience within clinical research, within e.g. data management or biostatistics and preferably 2 years’ experience with project or line management, including experience working in international and culturally diverse teams. Knowledge of CDISC requirements is also an asset. You have a proven ability to understand and communicate with stakeholders in Data Management, Biostatistics, and Trial Management, including the ability to provide targeted training in our systems and processes. You are adaptable with a flexible attitude, both regarding organisation, staff and environment. As a leader, you are able to motivate others, support the team in meeting new challenges, and lead individuals in a constructive and empathetic manner. We also expect that you are honest, committed, responsible, and well-organised with an efficient and systematic approach. The position is based in Clinical Systems & Data Management in Søborg, Denmark. Some travelling is expected due to engagement with stakeholders around the world e.g. affiliates and vendors.
