For our Onshore market unit we are looking for a Technical Writer with passion for transforming technical data into easy understandable installation manuals and replacement part catalogues. As Technical Writer you will have a broad interface the organization, gathering information from design engineers, EHS, site personnel and other subject matter experts to be used for the creation and maintenance of the documentation in question. It is important that you are not afraid of heights as you will be observing the installation of the onshore Wind Turbines. Furthermore, approximately 10% travel activity (up to 1-3 weeks at a time) is to be expected. What are my responsibilities? · Gather information from various internal stakeholders including visiting the sites when necessary to obtain the necessary documentation input. · Author manuals in English in a correct, concise and easy-to-understand manner, using Adobe Frame Maker and our XML based content management system. · Initiate the review, approval and publishing processes. What do I need to qualify for this job? · A technical educational background and hands-on experience from craftsmanship (mechanical, electrical, fitting/contractor, electrician or similar). · Excelent communication skills and proficient in English in writing as well as orally. · Advanced user of MS Office. Furthermore, knowledge of Frame Maker, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Team center (Viewer), Xml based CMS systems will be considered to be an advantage. · Knowledge of Wind Turbines and documentation standards will be considered to be an advantage. We expect you to be self-motivated, proactive and have a dedicated and structured approach to your tasks. Furthermore, you are comfortable with travel activities that may change on a short notice, tight and changing deadlines and able to navigate in a dynamic work environment with multiple interfaces. In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated. What else do I need to know?
