You will be part of a high-performing procurement team for Maersk Drilling based in Copenhagen, Denmark. The role will play a key role in the optimization and automation within the procurement function in Maersk Drilling. You will have multiple learning and development opportunities through directly impacting and shaping the strategies included in your scope and also by working with senior stakeholders externally as well as internally. You will coordinate with colleagues and suppliers worldwide through projects, meetings etc including travelling, all while developing your procurement skills in a busy, international environment. Key Responsibilities You will report to the Head of Contract and Supplier Management and have the following responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the role is to provide contract management services to relevant regions, categories and stakeholders within Maersk Drilling and to ensure that close cooperation and alignment with category management is maintained. As part of your role you will: • Oversee and monitor contractual compliance. • Run strategic sourcing projects for category/ regional specific projects. • Develop business relationships with appropriate suppliers, ensuring optimal terms and conditions. • Conduct supplier relationship management and monitor contractual performance. • Review and report supplier spending, behaviour pattern, and/or performance regularly. • Evaluate and implement contract and supplier consolidation opportunities. • Develop and maintain working relationships with relevant stakeholders providing support in areas within your responsibility. • Drive continued improvement and cost savings initiatives. • Ensure professional internal and external communication. The person also has to be an excellent communicator, being able to connect at all levels. Experience in dealing with an international environment is required. In addition, the ideal candidate would have: • Minimum 5 years industry experience in similar role. • University qualification in Management or equivalent preferred • Formal Procurement / Contractual training / qualification • Background within contracting and/or sourcing from medium to large enterprises • Experience in contracts, contract drafting and contract implementation • Familiar with supply chain automation and catalogue drives • Experience in strategic sourcing activities and negotiation skills • Analytical and detailed • Proficiency in both spoken and written English because English is the language of communication • Excellent in stakeholder management and building rapport even in challenging situations Last application date: 07 August 2016.
